The venue
The congress will be held in the traditional ballroom and reception hall of the Cologne City Council (built 1441-1447), The Gürzenich. The building was restored after the Second World War and redeveloped in 1996-98 to become a stylish congress and special events centre with the latest technical equipment. The name Gürzenich traces back to the previous owner.
Today it represents a harmonious blend of historic architectural styles with ultramodern event technology and the ultimate in event facilities.
