Seed Symposium

This is to draw your attention to the upcoming Seed Symposium during the ISTA Congress 2010 in Cologne, Germany. The oral and poster presentations from international seed scientists will give you an excellent opportunity to update your knowledge and understanding of seed science and its technical applications. A major focus will be on all aspects related to seed testing.

ISTA is lucky to have attracted five internationally leading seed scientists to introduce the five sessions with key note speeches. They will also chair the sessions and help you to address your questions and sharpen your understanding of seeds. Regular breaks will provide time to discuss with the authors individually.

Our Seed Symposium Convenor is once more Alison A. Powell. She is well known in the seed science world for her excellent scientific contributions. Her professional management of the symposium and guidance to contributors was highly appreciated by the contributors and participants of the last two ISTA Congresses.

The three best oral and poster presentations will be identified by an Award Committee and presented during the congress dinner. Besides the presentations you can meet your colleagues, good old friends and the new generation of seed scientist. ISTA and the hosting German Ministries would be very glad to welcome you as a participant or even as an author of a paper at its Seed Symposium 2010. Further information for authors of papers, titles of the sessions and the key note speeches can be found in the links below. If you have additional questions, please contact the ISTA Secretariat.
