Workshops and Tours
According to custom, different Pre-Congress Workshops and Post-Congress Tours will be offered in conjunction with the ISTA Congress 2010 to take place in the hosting country Germany.
Three Pre-Congress ISTA Workshops for analysts training will take place in attractive German towns during the week prior to the beginning of the Congress.
It is planned to hold a three-day Workshop entitled "Species and Variety Testing with Protein Electrophoresis" in the Bundessortenamt (Federal Plant Variety Office) in Hanover.
A four-day Workshop on "Viability and Germination Testing" is scheduled at the LTZ (Center for Agricultural Technology) Augustenberg, Karlsruhe.
Another five-day Workshop will take place in the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety in Oberschleißheim, Bavaria. It will deal with "GMO testing" following the ISTA Rules.
A Post-Congress Tour directly following the ISTA Congress is scheduled for 23-25 June 2010. The tour will depart from Cologne and are expected to go to the Land of Bayern (Bavaria). The itinerary includes interesting visits to seed laboratories, meetings with breeders, growers and multipliers, as well as visits to famous sights and cities.
